leafy limbs. i have a doctors appointment tomorrow and hopefully they can renew my script because i am officially out as of tomorrow. don’t tell patient who doesn’t like phones/has social anxiety to just go ahead and cold call a completely new clinic to organise a renewal of meds because THEY WON’T DO IT? anyway, standard self inflicted speed bumps there eh. regardless, i feel ok, i hope i feel better flu-wise so i can explode into the night again this weekend because lately i am having a fun time on so many levels not worrying about anyone but myself and those that treat me well. deep breath. and if i don’t feel well i can always hop in a taxi, have a sleeping pill on the ride and be asleep before i know i’m distressed. alooooooha. there are beautiful people floating in near waters.

I am quite enjoying today regardless of how ill I feel. I am coddled in blankets and feeding myself with cup after cup of my ACV + honey + lemon + hot water brew, sucking on ice cubes, listening to music and reading. The difference, the ease, with which natural remedies help to heal you is so much more immediate. Thinking back on times as recent as last year when I’ve had the flu etc, dosing up on OTC products and painkillers, so many chemicals, you feel no relief at all. Like each one of your senses are screaming at you for five different reasons. Whereas right now I can physically feel the mucous/infection shifting as the day goes on. This usually would take up to a week for me…

I hope that with a little rest and recooperation today, paired with a good night’s sleep (finger’s crossed as that didn’t go well last night, regular old cough machine!) I should be able to be back to work tomorrow morning :)

Completely aware that I have turned into one of those headcases that is forever talking about natural remedy this, natural remedy that, etc etc - but I’m really geeking out right now after noticing my store bought, cheapy apple cider vinegar is growing a Mother! This couldn’t come at a better time because i’m currently off work sick and seeing the Mother floating at the top of my bottle makes me feel like whatever’s going on inside that glass it’s doing exactlyyy what it should be doing.

And i’m obsessed with the concept of vinegar Mothers in themselves, haha. It’s like something out of a sci-fi film. Mother will look after you ;)

Also, I want to start making my own water Kefir, does anybody in Wellington/New Zealand make their own and would be able to give me a starting point of where to get the grains and a quick run through? I’d be so grateful. I’d bake you a cake, or something!

I am going through this phase recently of having absolutely zero shame for my body and it’s total bliss. I feel completely in control and know that if I encounter parts of me that I’m unhappy with I can either change them or accept that it doesn’t matter whatsoever. Breakthrough.
